Bechtel is seeking a Configuration Manager for the Texas High Speed Rail Project located in Dallas, TX. This position will begin as a short term assignment and will transition to long term. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the Configuration Management and Change Management process on TxHSR. This will include establishing its governance and overseeing the relevant technical functions involved in the Configuration and Change Management process. Specific duties include:

  • Establish and manage all involved functions in the Configuration and Change Management processes.

  • Identify Configuration and Change Management responsible personnel in the organization.

  • Manage coordination between Configuration and Change Management processes for Design-Build JVs, e.g. by establishing and implementing the TC Change Management process on the project, ensuring documentation control and release management;

  • Ensure that related processes, tools, policies and procedures are in place to cover the entire Configuration and Change Management process chain with agreed transfer mechanisms of data between tools, if necessary;

  • Establish, define and manage Configuration and Change Management deliverables (all functions) including synchronization and reviews; and,

  • Handover and coordinate Configuration and Change Management processes, responsibilities and data at the end of key phases (realization, field support).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or minimum of 15 years’ experience working in the construction industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience

  • Working knowledge and understanding of Configuration and Change Management, and how its related processes such as Requirements Mgt, Data Mgt and Document Control interrelated with the Business processes.

  • Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills.

  • Must have the right to work and remain in the US.
