Bechtel is seeking a Stakeholder Manager for the Texas High Speed Rail Project located in Dallas, TX. This position will begin as a short term assignment and will transition to long term. This individual will be responsible for developing, refining, and executing a strategic plan to communicate and coordinate with individual stakeholders along the route between Houston and Dallas. Specific duties include:

  • Promoting wide understanding and awareness of the extent and importance of the project of local communities, Texas and the US.

  • Developing and overseeing Stakeholder Management Plan and strategies from the Development Phase through to the Operations Phase;

  • Translation of the Stakeholder Management Plan and strategies into contracting requirements and for contractor adherence

  • Developing and Managing effective relationships and communications with various stakeholders including but not limited to federal, state and local government entities and services, utilities, railroad companies, local businesses and the general public.

  • Ensuring that the views and comments of stakeholders are heard and that they have appropriate channels to receive timely feedback regarding their concerns and issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the construction industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience

  • Must have the right to work and remain in the US.

Additional Qualifications:

  • A firm understanding of project construction procedures, principles and concepts.

  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
