Bechtel Global Corporation is expanding its next generation Network Operations Center (NOC) for our global enterprise and you can be a critical part of this creative, fast-paced, and exciting team. We are seeking passionate IT specialists who have expertise in network and infrastructure operations.

The ideal candidates will have an open mind, bring a fresh perspective to the NOC team, and be passionate about administering and maintaining the IT operations of Bechtel’s global enterprise.

As a NOC Analyst of a global 365x24x7 Network Operations Center team, your primary duties are to monitor, report and help resolve network and server problems worldwide. Additional areas of responsibility will include administering user/share permissions, maintaining active directory settings, performing server maintenance and scheduling and implementing patch management. Servers supported run on Windows and Red Hat Linux variants.

Additional duties include:

  • Data migrations and load balancing

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting servers and network devices

  • Lead IT projects/involvement in implementing new technologies

  • Remote management of servers

  • Troubleshooting global circuit issues

  • Ticketing and Change Management tools

  • User account administration

  • Server Backup monitoring

  • Share/Group management

  • OS reboots post Patching

  • Create and maintain technical documentation

Shift hours: 10:00 am to 6:45 pm Monday through Friday ; Prolonged hours may be required 12 hour rotating shifts on weekends; Must be flexible willing to work weekends (rotating at least one weekend per month), holidays, occasional night hours, and provide coverage when needed

Basic Qualifications Level 1:

  • At least 6 months of exposure to Windows servers and Active Directory in a distributed environment

  • At least 6 months of exposure to enterprise capable network routing & switching hardware (CISCO)

  • At least 6 months of knowledge of Microsoft SCOM, Orion or other network monitoring systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or at least 6 years of related IT experience

  • Must be a citizen of the United States of America

Basic Qualifications Level 2:

  • At least 1 year of experience with Windows servers and Active Directory in a distributed environment

  • At least 1 year of experience with enterprise capable network routing & switching hardware (CISCO)

  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft SCOM, Orion or other network monitoring systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or at least 7 years of related IT experience, in lieu of a degree

  • Must be a citizen of the United States of America

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer skills, as well as having a friendly and positive attitude is essential

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision

  • Must be punctual for your scheduled shift start time and meetings

  • Must be able to work in a diverse team environment and perform routine as well as technical tasks

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills are necessary

  • Experience working in a NOC environment

  • Preferred candidate to have successfully completed the following Windows 2008, 2012 or Windows 2016 Microsoft certification is desirable

  • Experience with trouble ticketing and change management tools

  • Understanding of basic Windows registry and Windows event log analysis

  • Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot issues on your company provided PC

  • Experience working with ISPs on circuit issues

  • Linux system administration experience is a plus, but is not required

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) is highly desirable.

  • Basic scripting experience preferred (PowerShell, RoboCopy, etc.)
