Reports directly to the General Accounting Manager and interfaces with counterparts in other service locations, project offices, controller management.

Responsible for the Oracle R12 month end CGL close including the following: Period maintenance and scheduling of all applicable Oracle CGL jobs. Monitoring the day of GL close Oracle TB extracts to CGL, resolve import errors, run initial received/missing TB’s, run initial CFAR balance and adjustment load, CGL to CFAR compare, and communicate close status with CGL users. Ensure timely and accurate completion of CGL Phase 1.

Monitoring of quarterly deliverables - timely and accurate completion/review of JAW reconciliations by the Operations Reporting team including the identification and resolution of reconciling items, Coordination of entity forecast review ensuring that updates are requested from GBU/project, edits made to Hyperion, GBU review files prepared, and meetings with Tax/CFO/FSM scheduled and occurring per the MI calendar.

Subject Matter Expert for the Oracle R12 CGL Module. Ensure thorough testing of the application is performed during Oracle PMC’s and upgrades, defects are identified and resolved timely, and the application is released and performing as expected upon go-live. Primary tester for JIRA’s relating to CGL module. Trouble shoot issues with CGL WebADI templates and create/distribute new templates as needed.

Contact for PwC as it relates to controls and year-end PBC requests for items related to Revenue, EGM/ERC, TB gathering, CGL/CFAR compare, and SIDB.

Employee engagement of direct reports. Supervise the work of others including the review and approval of journals, OIR reconciliations, and labor corrections. Engage direct reports daily providing real time feedback and also participating in discussions in support of PD@Bechtel and myImpact.

Other areas of responsibility include oversight of SIDB Administration, Political Action Committee (including custody of check stock), reserve reporting and forecasting, COWC calculation/reporting.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and 7-9 years experience

  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Basic knowledge of document imaging software, procurement systems, financial reporting, Financials

  • Basic skills in the areas of oral and written communications, project financial process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook), accounts payable, general ledger and billing

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Basic knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials

  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable accounting methods

  • Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment
