Bechtel Corporation Assignment Expense Lead in Haryana-New Delhi, India

The Assignment Expense Lead working in the BGMC/ Relocation group is responsible for the accounts recording and overall operations pertaining to Expense Reports related to relocation of employees. The activities shall include:

  • Maintain ownership of the Relocation Expense process and accounting controls.

  • Managing daily Auditing, Processing, posting of Expense Reports within the agreed TAT.

  • Ensuring tracking and clearance of Aging items in process areas on a regular basis.

  • Delegate, assist, backup, and train the team overall including new hires

  • Keep abreast of the latest relocation policies globally and ensure processing is in compliance with the Policies.

  • Raising any Policy related queries with the concerned stakeholders to ensure correct interpretation and application of the policy

  • Perform reconciliation of credit card statements to GL and Concur systems monthly

  • Liaise with the BGMC/Relocation HR teams to ensure timely query resolution

  • Effective mail management and Customer service to the expats and other employees on relocation

  • Monitor and clear unreconciled items, aged transactions, and Concur mapping issues

  • Prepare and issue monthly warning notices to card holders for delinquent transactions

  • Review and approve daily journal vouchers for input into general ledger system

  • Review and approve monthly credit card statements for payment processing within deadlines and prescribed policy

  • Granting limit authorizations, as requested and properly approved

  • Providing cardholder training and end-user support

  • Running and submitting database usage and aging reports to appropriate parties

  • Responding to daily mail and call center requests and resolving issues regarding cardholder statements

  • Performing monthly audits of Concur transactions and receipt packets to ensure compliance with corporate Relocation policies. Prepare documents for electronic imaging and archive.

  • Review of bank statements ensuring proper and correct withdraws are obtained

  • Additional duties or projects as assigned by management


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, Economics, or Accounting.

  • Basic knowledge of general business practices, policy, and accounting controls

  • Requires 5+ years progressively responsible experience and proficiency in basic accounting functions such as payroll, payables, receivables, or credit card administration

  • Candidates must possess and provide excellent customer service communication skills and telephone etiquette with global internal and external customers. Prior call center experience desirable

  • Position requires good organization skills, constant attention to detail, solid quality control over a heavy volume work with strict deadlines

  • Candidate must be ‘self-starter’ capable of working independently, taking initiative, and adapting to changing work environments

  • Candidate is expected to maintain confidentiality of all cardholder information entrusted to the position

  • Candidate must have the legal right to work in New Delhi, India without sponsorship
