Job Summary:
In this role, you will perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of databases/applications. You will perform installations, backup, and recovery, and will work closely with managers on database capabilities and problems. You will play an important role in ensuring databases are available, performing properly, and secure.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in the activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of basic databases and/or applications, ensuring they are available, performing properly, and secure with complete guidance from the senior and junior DBA’s
Assist with installations, backup, and code migration
Provide user support actions such as changing passwords and configurations where they can follow established documentation
Assists with monitoring SR, ServiceNow Tickets, Jira Tickets and other database monitoring and management tools for day-to-day health checks.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelors / Maters Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Should have prior knowledge on Oracle database version 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c versions.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software and related products.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in end-client facing roles will be strong plus.
Ability to work under pressure and in an environment with multiple clients.
Experience working in 24*7 delivery & multi-client support model.
