Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to scheduling problems. Provides generally non-routine scheduling guidance to projects. Supports and promotes improvement measures and implementation of recommendations for the global business unit. Supports organizational and administrative activities. Assignment location may involve a project site or engineering office.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Engineering Office Assignment: The Planner will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Engineering and Procurement Schedules utilizing Primavera. May involve assisting with development of the Construction and Commissioning and Startup Schedules. May involve developing schedule parameters for subcontractor schedule development. Detailed schedule development duties include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration and establishing the proper work flow logic ties. Routine analysis and work around option planning along with interface coordination with the construction scheduler will be required. Other duties include input to the Monthly Progress Report and issuance of the weekly schedule analysis report. Additional duties include supervision of the implementation and maintenance of the Engineering Progress and Performance system using ePCWorks software. Prepares and coordinates the development of staffing plans

Construction Site Assignment: The planner will be responsible maintaining the project Level 3 Schedule using Primavera. Responsibilities also include developing 3-month, and 3-week rolling look-ahead schedules. Routine analysis and work around option planning along with interface coordination with the construction scheduler will be required. Other duties include input to the Monthly Progress Report and issuance of the weekly schedule analysis report. Duties will include interfacing with Field Engineering and Cost Engineering personnel on the quantity reporting and progress measurement systems. Routine interface with Field Procurement and Construction Supervision involved with the site planning and scheduling processes. May also involve planning and scheduling of Commissioning and Start-up planning process.

JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

Gr26

Minimum 9 years of experience in Planner/Scheduling Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and analysis to PC, other groups, Bechtel Mgmt and Client Mgmt. Leadership skills, supervisory skills, and the ability to adapt project controls principles into a multi-company environment is essential. A working knowledge of planning work processes related to cost engineering activities is required. Familiarity with international project execution is preferred. Experience with earned value and managing hours and quantities utilizing Primavera is required.

Minimum 13 years of experience in Planner/Scheduling Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and analysis to PC, other groups, Bechtel Mgmt and Client Mgmt. Previous Planning/ Scheduling experience required. A working knowledge of planning work processes related to estimating and cost engineering activities is required. Familiarity with Planning and Scheduling standards, procedures, organization and automated systems preferred. Familiarity with international project execution is preferred. Experience with earned value and managing hours and quantities utilizing Primavera is required. Previous experience in modularization or manufacturing preferred. Previous planning experience involving the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning and Start-up preferred
