Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, and datacenter markets. Job Summary:

In this position, you will work with the project team to lead a team to manage the entire set of planning activities for assigned projects. You will identify schedule trends, analyze data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges, ensure schedule updates are completed on time, and be responsible for reporting requirements. Your leadership will be essential in driving scheduling efficiency and project success. This position will be based at the job site. #LI-MJ1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring/planning activities for the entirety of a project, including Level 1, 3, and 4 schedules

  • Identifies schedule trends for management attention

  • Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges

  • Ensures schedule updates are completed in time to support project reporting requirements

  • Responsible for reporting schedule curves, narrative, contingency, corporate schedule metrics, and any other project specific reporting requirements

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with contractual and corporate schedule requirements.

  • Responsible for maintaining configuration control of the baseline schedule and supporting the project’s baseline change control process.

  • Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from interdisciplinary or group restraints and interfaces.

  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing the integration of Engineering, Procurement and Construction work scope into the total project plan, including identification of key interfaces with internal and external entities.

  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing the establishment and tracking of progress on meaningful intermediate milestones through all phases of project execution.

  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing effective planning of activity durations and logic (including appropriate constraints) to support project milestones and overall delivery objectives.

  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing schedule resource loading and leveling.

  • Prepares and coordinates the development of staffing and execution plans for planning and scheduling activities.

  • Prepares, coordinates, and directs planning and scheduling presentations to Bechtel and customer management, as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or related, and 13-15 years of relevant experience, or 17-19 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated advanced capability level with Primavera (P6) and experience in its application on complex engineering and construction projects.

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in directing, planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and in the home office.

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for project planning and scheduling activities.

  • Skilled in direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly

  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions under pressure.

  • Prior Project Controls experience with a GC commercial model is a plus.

  • Prior data center construction experience preferred.

  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.

  • Proven track record of successful project controls planning and scheduling delivery.

  • Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.

  • Experience leading teams and fostering collaboration among diverse groups.
