Project Overview:

Bechtel is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the Sentinel U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter-continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. Sentinel is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation’s aging force of inter-continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. As part of the Northrop Grumman Sentinel nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of clerical duties for data entry of document information into an electronic document management system. Adjusts priorities according to direction. Responsibilities entail use of judgment and initiative within guidelines of well-defined scope; independently follows procedures; works under general supervision. May have access to confidential data. Contributes and adheres to company and department policies and objectives. Strives to maintain Bechtel’s “Zero Accident” philosophy through personal safe behavior/work practices and by being aware of surroundings and activities that may be potential safety hazards and takes steps to correct or minimize the hazards.

Work Schedule: Schedule A (9/80 Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, every other Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM).#LI-HB1

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Level 1:

  • Provides document and/or records management to include receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving and maintaining documents and/or records in accordance with established policies, and procedures. Performs document/record entry using enterprise content management system (ECMS). Monitors and reviews data entry for accuracy by self performing quality checks. Performs services to include but not limited to receiving, processing, distributing, retrieving and maintaining documents and/or records.

Level 2

  • Performs document/record entry using enterprise content management system (ECMS). May assist in the review of data entry accuracy for assigned work by performing daily, weekly, and monthly quality checks. Interfaces with internal and external customers in the resolution of questions, issues or actions.

  • Assists project team members with questions or issues related to document numbering, work process, electronic/digital signatures, legibility, etc. Assembles information needed to support project activities. Updates desktop work instructions, plans and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Level 1: High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.

  • Level 2: High school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience.

  • Must be a US citizen.

  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Database Entry and Filing. A skills test may be administered to determine proficiency.

Level 1:

Skill Level

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies & procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Job Complexity:

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

Supervision:

  • Moderate supervision with some latitude to use judgment. Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments.

Level 2:

Skill Level:

  • Applies job skills and company policies & procedures to complete tasks. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

Job Complexity:

  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Supervision:

  • Limited supervision with latitude for judgment. Regularly completes assignments with little to no assistance. May assist less experienced team members.
